Code of Conduct for Parents/Spectators
Parents / Spectators have a great influence on children's enjoyment and success in football. All children play football because they first and foremost love the game - it's fun. It is important to remember that however good a child becomes at football within our club it is important to reinforce the message to our parents / spectators that positive encouragement will contribute to:
· Children enjoying football.
· A sense of personal achievement.
· Self-esteem.
· Assist to improve the child's skills and techniques.
A parent's / spectator's expectations and attitudes have a significant bearing on a child's attitude towards:
· Other players
· Officials
· Managers
· Spectators
Please ensure that you are always positive and encouraging towards all of the children not just your own.
· Applaud the opposition as well as Euxton Girls.
· Avoid coaching the child during the game. Too many instructions from too many people create confusion and lack of confidence in a player
· Don't shout and scream.
· Respect the referee's decision.
· Give attention to each of the children involved in football not just the most talented.
· Give encouragement to everyone to participate in football.
· Do not use inappropriate language and behaviour
In addition to the above, please try to ensure:
· Players attend training and match days at the at the appointed time
· Players are in possession of the correct kit
· You notify the Manager/coach/assistant of any recent injury
· You notify the Manager/coach/assistant of any foreseen absence from training/matches
· Prompt collection of children from any training/matches
It is important that you support this code. Any contravention of this code may be reported to the Club Committee who can warn you about your future conduct or remove your membership. Players cannot play for this club if their membership is removed
