Fillies s v Euxton

Score 3-1

Scorer Alice

Euxton never really got going in this match and despite Laura hitting the crossbar in the first half and the odd break found themselves pegged in their own half.

The second have saw more effort and was rewarded by a superb ball played through by Heather and great strike by Alice. Hannah kept Euxton in the game with some good saves and a brilliant tip over the bar, but it was not Euxtons day.

The girls battled with little luck and kept their heads up.

Better luck next week.

Home v TMS

Won 11-0

What a game. After playing poorly last week the girls put in a great performance and dominated from the start.
T.m.s battled to the end but Euxton where to strong in every area.

The scoring was opened after 5 mins after some slick passing and finished off by Georgie. Two goals in the three mins from Catlin made it 3-0 after 8 mins.
Euxton then had to wait ten mins before rhianne lobbed the keeper for her first goal of the season.
On the rare occasions T.M.S attacked Maxine Smith and Danielle calmly tidied up.
Maxine through the game lead the back line and started numerous attacks with some accurate passing up to midfield.
Half time and with the score 5-0 the girls had to focus again for the second half.

It only took 2 mins in to the second half before Heather bagged her goal being the fourth of the season. Laura who is turning into a bit of a super sub bagged her second and then third as the score went to 8-0.
Catlin came back on to bag her first hat trick and finally Alice got herself on the score sheet and just time for Catlin to get her fourth.

A good display with some great awareness and passing, but it is only one game. Next week will prove to be a stiffer challenge.
As for T.M.S they kept their heads up right until the end and not once gave up. They are a new team who will only improve with more games so watch out in the future.

Well done girls that is more like it. Lets carry it on for the rest of the season and not return to the previous week.

Away to Golborne

Lost 4-2

Euxton found it diffiocult to get started in this early Sunday morning match.

Ellie made a welcome return for her first match of the season and it took a while for Danielle and Ellie to get back the communication that was there last season.

By half time Euxton found themselves 4-1 down and the Golborne number 7 had dominated play.

Second half saw a much more spirited show from the girls and having clawed 2 goals back could easily have had drawn level with a number of chances going wide.

Head up girls and better second half.

Next week we play Skemsdale top of the league so need to perform for the whole match, which we are more than capable of doing.
