The under 16s had a dream start when Holly Bleasdale scored with her first touch after only 45 seconds. The game was then quite even and open age team levelled the scores. But girl of the match Jasmine Elliott then made 2-1 to under 16s just before half tiime. The second half was end to end and open age levelled the score again but the under 16s came back strong to claim a winner through Charlotte Baker.

It was going to be a tough match from the start due to the loss against Blackpool in the pre-season tournament. However, Euxton went on strong and made a few good attempts at goal thanks to Holly?s fast sprints up field. Keeper Danielle Gibbons made some extremely tough saves throughout and didn?t stand much of a chance with the goals conceived against us. Lauren Wilkinson scored a great finish which made her the first goal scorer of the season, but unfortunately one wasn?t enough. Better luck at playing them at home girls!!

Euxton Girls took a trip to Bolton?s home ground to play on the 18th. Last time we played them, we only just got beat by a lucky free kick in extra time. But this time we came back on top. On the first touch of the ball we got stuck in. Holly Bleasdale beat the keeper making that the first goal of the match, Followed by Charlotte Hayes. Unfortunately Bolton gained a free kick just outside the box and it was deflected by a Euxton player into the net. We kept our head up and scored another goal this time by Laura Davies. Half time calls. We got back onto the pitch ready to up the tempo. Charlotte Hayes got another shot passed the keeper into the back of the net. Lauren Hart girl of the match placed a shot from a cross which then made the score 5-1. Bolton fought back and scored but with 10 minutes left we got a free kick taken by Nicola Baker, She crossed it into the box the keeper fumble it and then got a foot to and scored a own goal. Final score 6-2. Girl of the match Lauren Hart.
